Are you guys SERIOUSLY fighting back and forth like this??? Damn- Some people got WAAAY too much free time on their hands. look- The chinese make cheap, inferior products for pretty much one reason and one reason only- YOU'RE ALL BUYING THEM!!!!!

Do you know how many phone calls i have gotten from you PL'ers asking for prices of KVANT and OPSL's and LUMINANCERGB systems and when i give you the price theres a long silence and then..., "Woah dude....that too expensive!!"

Myself, and *EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU* are guilty of supporting this. The chinese are building a product for stupid cheap and for FAR LESS quality standards because we all allow them too. From now on, instead of spending $600 on a 1W green Laser from "some" Chinese company, why dont you support the American market and buy the $8,000 1W OPSL from Coherent??

How about we *ALL* practice what we preach!!!! Not ONE of you ordered a laser from China and asked for their certification status, their variance for that product, and if you are on the "OEM" bandwagon- then have ANY of you filled out the corresponding form for said OEM products?? How many of us made sure that the Chinese co. filled out an import declaration form??

OBVIOUSLY i do not support the Chinese Laser market. They infuriate me. But I am sick and tired of seeing alot of you bash the chinese and then 3 days later ordering a product from them in which you just bashed!!!

I'll make you ALL a deal- if you ALL stop buying the Chinese Lasers (systems or modules) I will give you ALL my DEALER pricing on KVANTS, OPSL's, Eye Magic Scanners and Cambridge scanners!! I wont make a penny!!! I'll just make sure you get the quality and "safe" product you are all preaching about!!!

I agree with your point, but I will add even more complexity. Over the last few years I have been ordering some basic industrial components including lasers and optics directly from CN companies for excellent prices and with very good quality. I think of it as the "wild west". Sometimes the prospecting leads to a great find and a good relationship, but there are no guarantees.

I will not bash a company because they are in CN, but because they do something wrong or misleading. Choosing to name your Chinese auto company Mercedes is fraudulent. You are trying to fool the customer into buying a product they thought originated from an established and trusted source. Does anyone believe the decision to name their company X-Laser is a complete coincidence? Dmitrylin is an ass and it is fun to see him ridiculed.
