The guy had documentation showing that the laser was retubed in 2007. He claimed that it was only used a couple times after the retubing and then just put away. Well, how about 71.2 hours on the new tube! Unfortunately, it's been sitting on the shelf for a few years, so it is very high pressure. It took a good 20 minutes of letting it arc for about 30 seconds and letting sit for a minute cycles with the fan off before I got it to sustain. Even so, it's very red heavy at the moment, green is completely supressed. When I crank the current quickly I get green and watch it fade away. Going to have to let it cook for a couple days.

Yeah, the projector is an Excalibur with G-120's. It has a turbo track T2 amp and an 8 channel PCAOM. Oh, did I mention a QM2K Basic was in there as well, along with a Universal Geometric Corrector and a Pangolin TC2000 (SMPTE reader/writer). It's like I struck gold! Nows the time to look for deals like this, with theaters all over going thru renovations. A lot can be learned from SpitzSTP! I don't dare tell you guys what I paid for this....

I must say, I'm quite fond of the capital "DZ" on the cover!

Hey Frank, I'd like to take a look at the TC2000, play around with it a bit. If I can't come up with any practical use for it, then it's yours. Give me about a week.
