    Default ALC68 Cooling

    Hey all,

Thinking I might need to upgrade the cooling on my old gas laser, it's an ALC68 with a few crappy fans on it. The exhaust air temperature is about 85 degrees C at around 15A tube current.

Just wondering if anyone knows where in the UK I might source some appropriately awesome fans, and if you guys have any advice generally about cooling that sort of laser (2000 m3/hr ? less? more?)

    Thanks!

LW, if your seeing this, do me a favor. I'm busy this week and my scanner is down, could you scan in pic of Mike's 68 with the proper 68 cooling mods for CW from his booK? All FOUR fans please... It was four pieces of the next size up from Rotron, just a bit bigger then Patriot or Major... two on the top, two added plenums on the side.

I've got three axial fans on the side, two plenums from the heatsinks to the snail fan (which is the one that i think needs a serious upgrade... do hydroponics fans work) and one larger axial on the top right now.

The Squirrel Cage fan is for medical service.

Lets see pics and I need CFMs for each fan model. I need to see the plenum volume.
