    Default Retractable scrim?

So, has anyone other than me give some thoughts to fabricating a "retractable" scrim rig that would suitable (in cost and size) for home or small venue use?

I figure it would need to support nothing bigger than perhaps an 8 ft. x 8 ft. scrim.

Of course, it would need to be electric, and therefore remote-controllable via MIDI or DMX....

Open to ideas and suggestions if anyone has any!!!
