Thanks once again to Jim for organising a good fun weekend!
Also thanks to everyone there for making me feel welcome... lasern00b that I am!
@Norty -> Yeah, after stripping the good bits from the POS Chinese moving head and getting the alignment to work with much help from Simon (P1t8ull) I squeezed it into the old light engineering par56 shell you can see in one of the photos above. Unfortunately, when I excitedly applied mains to the said unit, it delivered it to my shiny new FB3QS in spectacular style, killing it dead, frying the USB hub in my laptop, blowing a few chips off the dodgy DMX breakout card and scorching the table top it was sat on (sorry again Jim!)
Hopefully the FB3 can be repaired and the projector will be fine with a new breakout board... but will have to wait and see.
Fingers crossed!![]()
If in doubt... Give it a clout?
Well, what can I say - what a awesome weekend, sure went quickly!
I'd like to extend speshul thanks to Tony for being an all round top bloke and for helping me with the scope stripdown.. (and disposal of the rubbish) couldn't have done it without you!
Adrian & Rob, thanks for the removal of the stubborn bits!
Speshul thanks to Briggs for the advice and scope-on-a-rope.
Cheers to Con for telling me what a mug I am.
And thanks everyone else who helped get the thing out of Tony's van or who just stood and watched as the thing got torn apart!
Drive home was ok, must have been a little tired as after an hour and a half I decided I need a sleep.. oh the glorious comfort of the vectra's back seat.
Seeyah all in Sept (maybe Showlem)

The bottom left picture is an excellent representation of one of the new Pangolin diverging lenses in action. Look how sharp the upper beams are compared to the more divergent beams towards the bottom. I remember Adrian taking this picture of my projector showing a nice circle of green beams.
