Default Looking for small, barrel type, 532nm 100mW lazzzerzzz.

    Hi all,

I am searching for a supplier of 532nm, around 100mW enclosed laser barrels (similar to what's in the pointers).
What we require in terms of quality:

Bounce proof - there will be vibrations - not massive knocks, but mild and constant
Sensible output stability (+/- 15% is fine)
It has to be able to do at least 500 hours of continual operation (well it will flash at around 4Hz if that helps)

And it has to be damn cheap!

beam quality and all other factors are not important

    Quantity required 5.000-10.000 per year.

    Thank for all responses.
    Martin

The dealextreme.com 100mW modules are ok and under $100. Talk to kitatit as he just purchased a laserwave (?) brass module that's very nice, but much more $$$.

Hi Martin, the Lasever unit that andy_con linked to in the post below would be cheaper as it has no TEC.

Also Laserwave have something that might be suitable

    Good luck

I've purchased from DealExtreme too, the quality is good for the price but isn't all that great overall compared to medium priced units. Within less than a year the beam quality has gone down quite a lot. Also since you're in the US, I've had a laser seized by customs coming from DealExtreme. Their Class IIIb pointers do not meet the safety requirements as required by FDA 21 CFR 1040.1.

My mistake you're looking for the barrel part, not an actual pointer. Haven't purchased diodes/barrel units from them.
