Default Why is my 445nm laser quickly shutting down on full power?

I have set my 445nm to have a max intensity of 650mW, recently.
Although some days later, now...when i set the laser on full power the whole beam dies within 3 seconds.
If i set the intensity to like 0.8/1 It works again without dropping power.

Why is this happening. And what could be the reason?

heat? Is it the 1w casio you are using with a flexmod?

I use the easylase test program with my easylase dac, this gives valid values, if I use quickshow with a circle then this is way different because it is not a static beam so you better not use this way to measure the output, perhaps you can configure a static beam from quickshow and redo the measurement.

What size PSU are you using? Voltage and current
Is the driver showing any lights when it cuts out?

It is a crappy shit psu i salvaged from a universal wall charger. Putting out 11,59 volts and can give 2a max.
Its a 700mw diode. Its the one i got from you michel

And when it cuts out the flexmod doesnt give the error light.

And what mount/heatsink/cooling are you using?

700mW diode? So not a Casio harvest then?

The diode is in a combine block...with a total room for 3 diodes.
With a lasorb behind it. No cooling besides the block.
I have no idea if its a casio harvest.

yes it is a casio, if you got it from me, only needs 6V on the flexmod so now it is turning 6V into heat, could be heat problem if the flexmod has insufficient cooling.

oh. someone told me from LPF that it needed more then 6v to be operating normally.

What about 5V? can it also run on 5?

in my experience 5v is not enough I use a different driver for my blue at the moment so can't test it.
Using the flexmod I know it needs aprox 5.75 volt to operate so 6 v is I think better else you can run into problems.
