Red OEM laser module ~1 watt

My current laserwave 640nm 400mw red module is crapping out so I'm thinking it might be time for an upgrade. The beam is diverging again and it's not clear if it's worth sending it away to be fixed yet again. I can't really be without a red module right now anyway. Any suggestions on a good replacement?

You might want to just purchase a couple of 640nm diodes and replace the ones you have when they die. Wait, is this just a divergence issue? I say open it up and realign it; maybe the mirror or cube mount is getting loose and needs to be tightened and locktited.

Great idea to open the module up and take a look. I tried this the last time it went out of alignment but couldn't figure out what to do with the mounts. I will take another crack at it. Gene I'll give you a call too as I could use the upgrade.

Just to close the loop on this thread, I opened up the red module and was able to get it back in alignment. Bridge from laserwave was kind enough to offer to fix it for free even though it was out of warrenty, but I couldn't have been missing a red for that long. All this has prompted me to start building another projector though... damn you laser addiction!
