Definite interest here, but I'm curious as to how the programming would go.

Surely the Saturday night would be obvious (with the epic lase-off), but what are we going to do during two full days of Saturday and Sunday?

I can think of a lot of fun and interesting things to do, but not all of them may be 100% laser display-related. OTOH, hands-on workshops like designing laser graphics are easy to span across an entire day.

    Hi Guys,

sorry haven't been on the forum much.
Have been very busy, sick and all that stuff.
I have found a topnotch location with a very friendly guy that runs that place.
It's a city hall and i have already had a lan party there. It's an old school building, there is one large room, i think 25m deep en like 8 to 10m wide.
(So a little longer than Surfleet, but also a few meters smaller. And for the Dutch people and Daniel, like the hall in Ilpendam, but then twice as deep).
Also got a podium. Next to that there is a hall with a bar, a tennistable and lots of classrooms in a few of which we are allowed to sleep.
We can bring our own coffee and tea and the guy that runs the place even wants to make us tea an coffee. Or you can do it yourself.
Last time he sold tosti's for like 1.25 euro and there is a small supermarket within walking distance (3-400 meters).
Also a chinese restaurant and Pizza place are in the neighborhood.

Now the only disadvantage i can think of is that is located in the north of the netherlands, Friesland.
For people coming in from England or abroad, you can stay at my house prior to the lem and afterwards if needed.
I even can pick you up from Schiphol (hopefully all the people from abroad can arrange so that their flights come in close to each other).
Else you can drive by train to my place which takes 30 minutes and costs only like 9 euros or so. Then i can pick you up at the station in my town.
But that's only for the people that come in the day before.

Best of all, this place isn't that expensive. Think around 300-400 euros for a friday to sunday LEM.
If 12 to 15 people would show up, paying 25 euro each that would pay for the whole shazam.
If more people show up we could even try to arrange a collective chinese meal.
You are allowed to bring own beer, drinks whatever, or buy it in the hall.

If there is some interest i could phone the owner to check availability ?
I am now thinking about 2 dates:

    Preferred date:
    20 APRIL - 22 APRIL

Alternative date (but i have an invite to a party then, but if we can do LEM, screw the party).
    Friday 13th - sunday 15th of April

Last alternative (but is a holiday, Ascension Day if i spell it correctly).
    18 May until 20 MAY

Don't know if this would pose a problem, for me that would be an excellent weekend since i have a lot of days free (from 16th to 21 of may, so i could have people stay over easy at my place, before the LEM).

I will contact for availability first, but let me already know if you like the dates.
Sorry it became a little later, but this will save us 1000 euros on the location.
And the guy running it is very cool dude.

Hope to hear from you all , i will try and reach the guy so i could present a date on the UKLEM and invite people over.
    Please respond below!

    Thanks in advance !
    I didn't fail !

I like 18 - 20 may too, since the thursday is ascension day and my employer said to take of friday too, so also took wednesday.
But since it's a holiday the location might be closed. I will contact owner/guy that runs place and let you know what dates are still available.

OK i think i'll start a new topic. Just phoned the guy, this is amazing.
He did me a very good deal, we are allowed to sleep in the hall.
We can choose between 20-22 april and 18-20 may.
He can make us breakfast if we like. And the price of the hall for all weekend is CHEAP!
DIRTCHEAP. I think 15-20 euros per person could cover us providing there is like 10 people minimum. How cool is that ?
If there is more people we can arrange a chinese meal too or lunch or whatever.

I will start a new clear topic.

Cool!!! I would prefer may because we have pro light and sound and that is 24-27 march. 2 weeks later you would have the lem so that is rather close, especcially for people want to intend to visit both. (me )

But great to see that it will happen!! Thanks hobbybob!!!
