Also interested in a 3,3V dpss version.
I used EPCOS B57861S104F40 1% 100k miniature (2.41mmø) thermistors which will be included with the boards. They are fast due to low mass, very suited for the task at hand . During testing I had two side by side and the deviation between the 2 was 2 digits behind the comma.

What power range would you need as a 3.3V version?

I just did some quick tests (simulations) to see what I could get out of the current LD-driver build, without doing a major redesign, to run @ 3.3V. It actually looks much better than I expected. With minimal changes of the current circuit, 20A on a 0.12Ohm load is easily possible this is approximately >= 15W of 808nm. A bigger FET a smaller shunt resistor and a couple of different R values here and there and I'ts good too go. The modulation linearity is good up to 100kHz. It would be an either or situation, meaning if you get this version it’s only good for running a DPSS the standard version will do all the rest. The problem is getting a linear response over an equally broad load range of currently 1 – 20Ohms.

If there’s further interest for such a driver, just state it here and I’ll see what can be done.

well frank, if an appropriate set of crystals could be found, maybe some of us could be tempted into building a dpss green, or am i the only one to think this way?

anybody has any info to share maybe?

Well I for one have wanted to build a DPSS for quite some time now; I also did a lot of studying up on DPSS builds, but at the moment I can’t even get the shit finished that’s on my workbench now.

I have two halfnote dpss lasers with ludicrously complicated divers.
I have been looking for an affordable replacement (that can be modulated).
Needed current would be 20-25 amps.
Problem is, I am tied to the termistors already used in the head.

You got any idea what termistor values are in there?

    Hi,

"depending on the price" I may be interested in one

1.) Dual channel TEC driver with dual channel fan control and low side LD driver.

    for a DPSS project.

    Thanks,
    W.

Similar boat with a RGB lasersystems green - I only need 5/6A diode drive so OK there but plan to use existing thermistors in head - will measure and tweak design / calibration if needed.

    Frank,
Please could you let me know the board dimensions for the Dual TEC, Single diode driver model?

    Cheers,
    Dan
