    Default Coupling Capacitors.

I'm building my ILDA driver. I see in old pictures that the sound card is direct coupled to DrLava's amp/correction board. Now I see many recent posts showing connections to the DC isolation side of the capacitors. Do I need the DC isolation? Are those 1 mfd electrolytic caps??

You want to pickup the audio signals BEFORE the AC coupling capacitors.

Thanks --- I thought so to eliminate R/C time constants . Others on LPF seem to be connecting to the other side
    and it didn't seem right.

Yeah, DC coupled is the only way. Otherwise the results will be less than stellar!
