    Smile My last performance...

    Hi all guyz!

Last saturday (October 16th) I done a short performance by my 3W RGB laser.
Unfortunately most part of audience was all stand up on their chairs..... I think there were more than 350 people...
Stage room was 30x15 meters about.
Even if I had set safety zone, all people was standing up (over chairs) so... safety zone... has gone to hell...
Projector was over its support 3 meters high. Distance from proj to the closest wall (I used it like projection screen) was 25 meters far about.
I know... many of you will think:" you done a big hazard..."
Maybe it could be true...But final result has been.... Super!
All people have appreciated a lot this short beamshow and the manager said me that I will be confirmed for next year.
It has been a real little big success to me.
Here's the movie. It has been shooted by a young girl ( b.t.w. a very nice p***y) placed next to me...
Quality is not the best, but enough to be seen.
    Greetings.
    Steve

Thats one of the reasons i dont want to do shows with my projector.
No matter how i measure the divergence and calculate the power and safety zones someone will always find a way to screw it up.
Glad to hear your show went so well without incident.
To do a laser show indoors like that dont you have to get forms and stuff or is it a private even and its only for outside shows you need a permit.

    @ kiyoukan
Yeah... All you said is right. I agree.
Event was a private celebration (awarding of some members of a Club).
Anyway next year, if I will be there once more, I will use a couple of smaller projectors (1W about each).
I well know this doesn't mean safety... but rather than nothing....

    @ kl79
Yes! It is the same taken from the other side (but video quality is a little crap...)

    Steve,

I don't want to be an asshat.. but those people in the front got nuked pritty bad with pencil beams.
Did you use beam attinuation maps to lower some of the power in the lower region of the projection?
It looks really shap and powerfull.

I cant judge the video properly but in the 2nd video those people look like they are sitting down on chars (some of them stand up from time to time).
Where they really standing up ONTOP of the chairs?

The event looks like a fun thing to do..
Alot of happy people...looking at your show.
    Thats really nice
I hope you had fun and that thing really whent well (no reports from visitors to bite in you in the ass etc)

Who had control of the hazer Steve?

Room looks over hazed. What's striking is that with 3 watts you can see the patterns on the back wall but hardly any airborne beams. In such a small room it should have been so bright.

Maybe you should have drawn a BAM in on the fly to cover those members that stood up. However, hindsight is a great thing and crowds are unpredictable. The real answer would have been t cut the show and get the DJ to tell people to not stand on the chairs. Danger of course is tanked up people + unpopular move = riot.

    BTW what was the tune?

PS Nice to see QS being used commercially. Was that in VLJ Mode?
