Wow, that's a rough one. The "F" has 345 points when I do a quick hand trace of that letter only. I suspect the whole frame will have around 3000. ILDSOS might help, but that font is a bit detailed for a laser frame. When do you need it?
Love, peace, and grease,
allthat... aka: aaron@pangolin
I hand traced it fully; it is just under 3000 points and mad flickery. I can try to run it through the "SOS" tonight if I can get it installed; actually, here is what I made incase someone else can SOS it for you quickly. If no one can I'll try to do it tonight or this weekend.
How will it be projected ?
Would it be seriously noticeable if you simplified the font ?
(Like if it is projected onto a rough surface like brick or something.)
For what it's worth, not having a projector yet and no hands on experience, but having some graphics/design experience that font is incredibly difficult.
You might be able to simplify it slightly while keeping the larger characteristics to make it much simpler for the laser to draw.
The longer serifs on the F,E,G,T might be enough. Then a simpler straight line letter shape would still have the character of the logo while dropping the point count to a fraction.
Just a thought.
