Default 1 axis 20k galvo and green DPSS laser diode with blanking for laser harp :)

    Hey!

I'm hoping to build a laser harp! So if anyone has a spare 1 axis galvo and driver board, I'm looking to purchase! I think 20k speed will do. If anyone has made a laser harp they may have a spare from an XY kit.

Also a green DPSS laser minimum 100mW with blanking feature.

Let me know if you have any for sale!

    Thanks.

    Hi CJ9

I can't help you with a scanner but if you are planning to buy one of the laser harp kits from Things then I would recommend that you go for a 445nm Blue diode laser instead of a green. The green in my harp just can't react fast enough to the modulation so my 400mW green looks like 40mW green. A 445 nm diode will be a lot better at modulating. The cost per mW is a lot better as well.

    I'm planning to put 2 x 1W 445nm diodes in to mine.

    Hi Carl,

I'm not looking at buying a pre-designed one, I would prefer build and design (most of) it myself. From what I understand, it was just based on Stephen Hobley's plans anyway? I'm unsure, how does colour affect blanking speed?

kiyoukan, do you have any more information on the galvos?

    Thanks,
    Charlie.

CJ9== may I suggest that you add your location in your profile. this makes helping you much easier. If you do this it will show in every post you make. I can get you a nice TTL (blanking) 445 lab laser at a great price but I dont ship out of CONUS& Canada.

It would reach you in 3 or so biz days after payment clears.

shipping to the uk will be 15-45$
depends on how we ship it.
So i can package it and bring it to the post office and find out the exact amount.
but tracking international packages is expensive.
