Default Why Not in the USA

Am I missing it or what? Why do there seem to be no USA sellers for all the little nickle dime stuff you need during a build? I get great service from the sellers that have it oversea's but I hate to wait. In particular, flex mounts, waveplates, PBS cubes, Prism sets, mixing dichros , diode mounts (non press) etc etc

Yes I know of all the expensive options for the edmunds etc, but I am talking the $40 cube's $25~$50 wave plates stuff that kinda makes this affordable sometimes or came from bigger group buys.

Another example is C.T. Lasers in Connecticut and Modwerx.com out of ...the cloud zone. I have worked with both and good speedy service. Edmond, JML, Lambda Research Optics, CVI and Tower Optics if you need very good stuff.

well it depends on what you want. i getting my new mill within the next week and going to convert it to cnc.
once its done i plan on making adjustable mounts and lava optics holders maybe (got to talk to someone first).
But all that optic stuff someone would need to front alot of cash to buy them in bulk and resell them here, but alot of people dont seem to mind the wait.
For someone to go and buy a few grand worth of optics it would be a slow profit.
If i had the money i would love to not have to run a GB just buy and resell.
Some of the 30k galvos gb are being resold in the us at a decent price but they are selling slowly.

OK, Instead of listing these places please give me a direct link to 640nm waveplates @ $50, and broad band PBS's at $40. I have never scene them at any of the places listed, I know when some places listed needed parts they went to Dave but only bought stock for builds not to sell parts or at least nowhere near the prices they can be imported for.

Maybe. But for what it's worth keep in mind that this is a VERY small market. High tech at rock bottom prices. It is conceivable that there are only a few suppliers worldwide. Incidentally, Dave is a pleasure to work with and the shipping from Australia to the United States in my experience has been on the average 7 days.

Another point. I have found that broad band PBS cubes always preform less efficiently than narrow band PBS cubes and if designed for the wavelength you are trying to stack the narrow band are probably worth it (considering the $/mw invested in a projector).

Who sells a good narrow band cube for 635 and 445?
