    Default Howto tune galvo 10k laser from scrats ?? please help

    Hi

    I have a laser AL-460
    Its a 10k RGY laser
    Now the problem
    I have to setup the galvo's en tune them
    How to do that???
    I now there a manuals for it...
    BUT a friend of my scewd up al so i have NO stating point

    I am NEW in "laser-world" so please help me in child-words...

    i had this problem.
    It only took me a short 10 hours.
    And sadly it depends on what they messed with.
    if he just missed with the HF LF Servo pots it can be fixed but if he messed with other pots it is going to be a long road.

    Hi

    There are 6 pots he mesd whit
    X-HF / X-LF / X-Gain
    Y-HF / Y-LF / X-Gain

    SO what is the best way to start correcting this,
    and what test file do i need??

    First it is important to know for sure that these are Galvo scanners and not steppermotors.
    Can you make a photo?

    I don't think 10k scanners are stepper motors. I haven't heard of stepper motors having damping, that is something I associate with coils and such...

    IÁM in LUCK

    I dont now why but:
    1: i turnt the pits ALL the way down
    2: give them AL 4 turns
    3: PUT op the ilda test paterns
    4: AND you dont belive it !!!! it was ALMOST 100%

    Now my laser working and loks great....

    BUT i orderd 30k galvos
    better then 10k ;-)

    Looks like the PT30K set i blew up the second time i used them so beware of not setting the scanspeed any higher than 28K or so and keep your angle (size of the output) small, as soon as they start making a lot of noise turn it down because they are fragile.
    Good set to start out with, see their website for info on the pt-itrust board and the drivers, http://www.phenixtechnology.com/ , i also think they are spacelas based, correct me if i am wrong. I prefer the dragon tiger set, more expensive but higher quality and they don't get hurt so easily as the PT set i used ;-)
