    Default drlava??

Does anyone know if drlava is around?

I recently paid $100 for a bunch of flexdrives, back in mid October, apparently shipped over 3 weeks ago, and nothing's arrived.

3 messages sent, 2 through Google Checkout, 1 PM to his forum account and no response.

Seems very unusual as I've bought from him successfully at least 3 times before, and with my biggest purchase I get nothing for my hard-earned and apparent ignorance to my requests for help in finding out what's happened.

I want to underline "Seems very unusual" at this stage, in case there's a good reason for no response, but can anyone help in figuring out if he's available at the moment?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Drlava is a very busy guy please give him some more time.
He's a very honest guy too, so no need to panic.

Yes, but a simple notice on his web site stating orders won't ship till XX XX XX would have caused alot less wonder.

Seems it's a one man operation, and he's got other priorities to juggle at the moment.

    Ah well.

    Only human I suppose.

I can get my flexdrives elsewhere from secondary sellers that offer tracked shipping, so should be able to recover my project in time.

I just hope I haven't lost the money from this order.

I do agree with the comments suggesting improvements to his customer service.

It doesn't seem right to have to consider a purchase as being a gamble as to whether or not you actually receive what you pay for.

Maybe he could put some extra thought to this aspect of his business and offer an international tracked delivery option.

    Thanks for your comments guys.

It's reassuring to hear this could just be a blip.

    Fingers crossed

I ordered lenses mid Oct from him and was getting worried too. He finally sent me a PM saying that he had the shipping label printed where he was and that he was conveying to his wife what to ship, so sounds like he's probably got his hands full .. moving.. ahh one of the great miseries of life .. never again (i hope) .

I placed my order on October 31 for 4 Groove Drives and haven't heard back from him. I've contacted him multiple times through googlecheckout and this forum to no avail :\

My project deadline is next week so I've been kinda screwed

I wish he would just email us or just reply saying that he won't be able to get the orders shipped out and just refund my money.

Yeah... drlava has seemed to have dropped the ball concerning his
customers that have trusted him to send in their $$$ in hopes of
getting some products as he advertised.

It has been a few months that no-one can seem to get a response
    from him.

I could understand a week or two but months of ignorance to his
customers seems a little unfair and unwarranted.
If he no longer wants to sell his wares I think it would be reasonable
    that he declares so...

There is a member on LPF that goes by the handle of Flaminpyro that
could possibly help you out. He seems to be a distributor of drlava's
    Drives.

    Thankfully, I've received a response.

Looks like things are moving, and I hope to get the drivers soon.

Will update as soon as things settle...
