    Default 15k versus 30k

Ok there is a difference in price.
How much is the difference in use?
    I've got a 15k 100mW Green from eBay (item 110013941961) for £320 and I've seen a 30k 50mW Green for £1,359 (item 200019749207) so is the 50mW worth the extra £1000+ ?
I'm not after buying the £1359 one though.

Or the news Terascan from Medialas, they do 45kpps and are "cheap".
You would prefer 30kpps instead of 15, but it depends on the application. If it is for graphics, so 30kpps is the minimum for complex frames without flickering...
For beam shows, 15k are sufficient if you don't want amazing effects with multiple simultaneous tracks.

Beware, I speak of 30kpps ILDA == the scanners are able to correcly display the ILDA test pattern at this speed. Many cheap projectors say 15 or 30k but this is to display a simpler pattern, not the complex ilda pattern which really test the ability of your scanners...

I'm not buying another (yet), I was just wondering if the difference in scan rates justified the increase in price.
I am waiting for my easylase and Mamba Black to arrive so I can have a play

The 30k projector is 1900$ more expensive than the 15k, and with only 50mW instead of 100mW in your projector! So NO, the 30k projector is way too expensive for its capabilities.
For 1900$ you can buy a complete set of Cambridge 6210 scanners, which are the best in the world and can do 60kpps...
