Not good. I will say no more until I have taken legal advice in the morning.

Sorry, I make no assumptions to you, in fact I confused your posts with rsezemeti.

I do think that anyone using a high power industrial cutter would be well advised to wear safety eye protection even if spectral reflection was at safe levels, if only as a precaution against unexpected stray reflections. I very much doubt in the UK that anyone would be allowed to operate a high power laser cutter without either safety glasses or a safety screen being provided.

I lament the demise of intelligent, albeit politically incorrect comments at the hands of paranoia and unnecessary personal attacks.

Bwuhaahahahahahaha! Oh that was a good 'un, rs... But, that's probably smart for ya, tho, since I'm sure you'd have quite the time explaining gems like "I think people should play with dangerous things and occasionally get hurt. Theres nothing like the smell of burning flesh and a missing bit of skin to bring the lesson home..." to the Barrister: '...Oh, b't that was all just a jooooke!...' Lol... ...What about 'Banthai's' 'threats'? '...that was all just a jooooke!...' ..and I'm pretty sure you can't claim 'slander' against a screen-name...

I should have some video for ya in the next week or so... very busy this week...

Oh, come-on, Bob, it's simple cause and effect / action/reaction - He's free to blah, blah, blah, any way he chooses, and we're all free to react the way it makes us feel.. I certainly make no apologies or retractions for anything I said - to the contrary, the *last* thing this place needs is to give rise - not to paranoia - but to more and more unqualified / out-of-context statements, like the one I took issue-with, specifically, and end-up with more and more 'vidiots' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t65_JJrLFZ8) setting horrible-examples for yet others... Hearing / reading stuff like '..it's not that dangerous', is how idiotic-shyte like what's in that video gets born!

..and sorry, unless those comments were all just some really lamely-delivered 100% 'satire', I, for one, don't find anything particularly 'intelligent' about suggesting people should 'pop-off a bit of skin to learn a lesson'... WT?? ...Might be interesting to actually find-out what 'happened' to 'Roger', eh?

Sorry, but there's a *big* difference between learning from / diving-into 'hands on' real-world experience and endorsing / preaching flat-out stupidity...

Keep it up, rs.. I think you're really 'Winning'.. ..Best to you in Court..
    cheers...

@ Jon, I appreciate your position on what he said, just disagree that it's a BIG DEAL. The pictures he first posted show nothing dangerous. He's terminated the beam. It's outdoors, but obviously in his capable control. His credentials were verified early in the thread. Lots of his later statements were made in response to the bulk repudiation of the different scale of his concerns about safety issues. I'm certain that very few here work with the very high powered lasers he's accustomed to (kW), but the scale of his perspective on safety is obvious to me. He makes good, valid points that are worth debate, not ridicule.

It's been a year and a half since the Wicked Lasers Arctic came out. How many have been hurt by it? Where's the carnage? Same question with all the green lasers over 5mW. All the Blu-Ray lasers made handheld? Where's the beef? You know what's more dangerous than all those lasers put together? Football.

It was in the "lasers - all types" section until various defamatory comments where added.
