QS live auto DJ

I recall seeing this at SELEM, where preselected effects from a workspace can be cycled through via beat matching from an audio input. Am I recalling this correct? If so how well does it work. I am looking for a way to add fill with a pair of side projectors to a main show running center. Want to do this as easy as possible hence not program it. With it not being the main focus nothing need be perfect.

Thoughts ideas?

Yeah, it's called VLJ (Virtual Laser Jockey).

When enabled (either manual BPM or audio based beat detection) it can select frames for you. Several options are available, such as select frames from any tab or only the tab you had open when VLJ was enabled.

How you work a VLJ show while also playing a show on your main projector is not clear to me. I too am about to find out how this can be done as my sat builds are close to completion.

In my head, I have the following plan which might work ok:

• Open the TAB with frames for your Sat projectors
• Configure these frames to appear on the Sat zones (right click - properties)
• Set VLJ to "Only trigger cues on initiated page"
• Start VLJ
• Run your main projector as normal, from any other frame tab you like

In a way I wont have that problem as I am looking to supplement some older planetarium shows running off ADAT.

But still looking for the correct solution, how are the beam effect preset that come with QS? waiting for the demo to download. Also is all this in beyond and working on the QM2000?

Works well in BEYOND and on QM. I like to run the Winamp AVS plugin on the QM and V DJ in QS on the FB3.

In addition VLJ does cycle though selected effect banks too.
