An explorer plugin for creating ILDA thumbnails has been on my 'todo' list for years. It wouldn't be all that hard, and it wouldn't have to be slow, as stated just loading the first frame or a frame some % into the file. Simple, and quick in c++. Probably no more resource intensive than thumbnailing jpeg images. Unfortunately time and priorities haven't allowed it, but it IS something begging to be done by someone.
maybe it is possible to auto fill a workspace in quickshow or BEYOND with the files in a certain directory ???
just a thought.
