    Default Remote Zero SL Users:

    OK-

This is probably a REALLY dumb question, but Im just trying to set up my Remote Zero SL for use with Live Pro, Beyond and QS.

There are the 8 drum pads on the left, on the bottom-

Obviously, I had QS (Ill just use QS for an example for now) "learn" the first note for drum pad 1. So, If i hit pads 1-8 i can trigger cues 1-8. How in the world can i use the pads for cues higher than 8? I, for the life of me, cant figure it out. I read the help files, i read the instructions. ITs driving me NUTS!!!

I need something to go from 1-8, then i guess like a "next page" button to get the ads to go to 9-16 so on and so forth.

    Any ideas??

I haven't tried to make mine work yet, but from what I have heard and read, thats all u get with those pads, that is why a lot of people use a touchscreen along with it... I would suggest a Mimo 10inch usb touchscreen....

I think Marc might be thinking of an octave shift type scenario - I'm afraid I can't help, I use my drum pads for rotation resets, tap to time and other sort of stuff. As Slick says, I use a touch screen for cue selection, it's the right tool for the job (imho)

This can be done; in the template editor setup a "muti-paged" template, then duplicate your current page to all the others. Then just edit the properties of the drum pad CC values, and upload.
When done the two top buttons on the extremities of either side of the long LCD were the ones to change page I think...

    Briggs Briggs Briggs....

If you were here I'd buy ya a beer.

HOWEVER, still a little problem. (and im sure its just my dumbness...lol...)

Using the Remote zero SL editor software, there is NO option for adding a page or changing a page. I am using the Older remote zero SL (id assume MK1?) Withe the LCD on Left and right.

    This one: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ReMOTEslZeRO/

For the life of me (and its getting embarassing) i cant figure this STUPID problem out! Everyone else, thanks for the input. I probably will do a touch screen also. But i REALLY want to get these pads going.

the editor software seems very basic. maybe i cant add a page in the editor software? that seems silly though.

    Marc,
Email me your template; I'll wangle it into multi-paged'ness if you want.

i will do that, but can ya try to tell me how to add pages? or is it s pain in the arse? im one of "those guys" that would like to actually learn it. All i need to know is how to add the page and then change the page when using the unit. Or is it not as easy as i am thinking it is in my head?

    Ok, simples
Fire up the editor, load your template; save it as "Mega-LivePro-page1" or something, just so you know which one is which should you ever need to reload in future.

    Template -> Edit Settings
Change the "size" to the number pages you want; say 2 in this example.
    Set "position" to 1.

    Dump the template page. Save.

Copy this; or "save as" Mega-LivePro-page2
Edit the CC values on the drum pads -> Template Edit Settings -> Position 2 -> OK.

    Dump the template page. Save.

    Repeat ad nauseum.
