I disagree. I think these building projections are at least as cool as lasers. I'm sitting around with some powerful lasers that I'm afraid to use outdoors (public paranoia, FAA, etc,) but there are no such restrictions with projectors. However, where you can build/buy- lasers/projectors I have no idea how to get started with these productions. I suspect that this is so elite an area that the cost of getting started might be prohibitive. I don't know. I'd like to learn more.
