I get nothing out of the wires on the plug, but I get voltage from the two wires coming from the top. Connected a battery and got movement. I will take one apart this weekend and see what it looks like inside. I will take a picture and post it as well.

If they came out of an EKG, they are moving quite a bit of mass (compared to a simple mirror) with a high level of accuracy.

my bet is VERY STRONG galvos...

Was this unit made by Nihon Kidan? If so they are a PEN MOTOR, a form of galvo for moving thermal pens.
Nihon likes 15 ohm galvo coils with multi Kohm feedback coils, but has been known to use other forms of feedback sensors.

They have a Nihon logo on them.

If not, they are in a standard gearmotor format package.

If they are pen motors, they are slow by light show standards, but should move +/- 15 to +/- 30 degrees and have a small angle response with attached lightweight pen to 110 to 120 Hz.

A GM20 or R4 or G730 "actuator" used for laser show beam tables is a PEN MOTOR in its origional application.
