Quick Trace fail

Hi

I've installed Quickshow and I'm very happy with this sofware but the quicktrace dont trace very well some logos that i put (and need in a party)... I try TraceIT but is the same problem... i will put there the files.

I just did these 3 in QS. And tried projecting. All project perfect. The Toucan may need a little bit of work. but the other 2 are fine.

Thanks im gonna try yours .ild... but this is strange... the laser is Ibiza Light 500mW RGB (It's new buyed 2 month's ago and only have 6 hours of use)

My settings, are, Advanced Mode, 15K, TLT, RGB are this correct?

Some shows bounce very much but with i adjust scanrate it slow the bounce (but get less quality)

15K is rather slow scan rate to project those images. 30K would be ideal. is your system capable of 30k? If it is, adjust your software for 30K but LOWER your scan angles. The faster you scan, the smaller your angles should be. If you get "flickering" when you adjust to higher speeds, lower your scan angles.

I am trying to find specs for your laser. Can you post a link to any specs?

When tracing in QuickTrace you need to play around with the sliders and methods to pick the best method and settings for the trace. It's very rare that logos are untraceable but it does happen.

As Marc says, you really need some faster scanners especially as text particularly is very difficult to display at higher frame rates. Even a couple of words can give 15fps or less even with 30k scanning. Double lining of words is a nightmare!

Its sounds like you have a basic cheaper end of the market laser given its also TTL. Nothing wrong in that, just be aware it will have limitations with graphics and is probably better suited to beam shows.

If your scanners are really 15kpps you can resort to point pulling, be warned: This method takes long to do.


Secondly: You must NEVER do this on logo's that will scan for a long time, your scanners will get too hot if you do this too long..
Point pulling is the most efficient way of drawing and allows you to make the most complex logo's for your scanspeed (no you cannot adjust your scanspeed for that frame as it will distort).

Well... i've payed 769€ for this laser, to nothing...

What do u suggest to do? I use this in party's (my father is DJ and im his VJ, we use led robots, led spots and led bars... this was a new achievement, and we wanted something that we could use with good specs to do for example, weddings,birthday partys, company partys etc. like texting the name of the engadgeds, name birthday, our logo (DJ Pepper), logo of company's and more than others, show the show's and cues. Our music is the oldies music 60's 70's 80's and 90's.)
