Not at all...they are very different and have different electrical components.. You cant just make then scan wide by cutting out the mounting block and re tuning......if it was that easy everyone would be doing it ..

Har, the DT's are a cheap copy of another design!

    Several options.

    1. Contact MrWilling and see if he will do another run of the Edison case (or has any left over).
    2. Contact Rob (StanWax) and see if he has anything laying around - his "littlestan" case was available last year.
    3. Buy a Goldenstar projector from Winni and scrap the electronics.

Looks like some of us got in just in time.

I would second Dnar and say, buy the cheapest spec projector (probably with the scanners you want, if you haven't already got them) and sell off the remains. You may even make some money on the modules and you'll have a load of spare odds and sods to play with.

BTW, was just looking at db3306's pics again and noticed the lack of filters on the fans. If they are both blowing, get filters for them. If they are sucking, make sure you add filter material over the cutouts in the side plates.

I have both mine blowing, and I've masked over most of the side plate exit holes to force positive pressure and most of all, faster air movement. This means that any particulate is more likely to be carried through the projector rather than being able to settle.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

oh that sad - I must have been one of the last to get one of these Case H's - theyre a pretty good case for what you pay. I've just finished mounting up all the rear panel hardware, and arranging my stuff in side to see how I'm going to fit it all. Looks like I'll have a tight squeeze with my scanner amps heatsinks!

I wonder why they arent selling them anymore?

I plan to have my fans suck air through the sides of the projector through filter material. Once I put one of Winni's AR coated windows over the exit aperture, the only path for the air is through the side holes and out the back.

My guess is that by the end of last year all they were selling was cases!!!!

Either that, or they need the cases to make projectors...

Winni told me they needed all the cases for projectors and that there was like a two months build-time on cases right now because of so high demand.

This explains why mine took a week to ship - the demand for them inhouse has risen and I just happened to be one of the lucky last to get one.
