Nice Mirrors!

So, wanting a couple of mirrors to buonce my 532nm thing around on I found a UK company called Scientific Mirrrors .. two 3mm thick, 2" square surface silvered mirrors for £10, delivered.

Bargain. They do any size, on any thickness of glass, quality is excellent, edges nicely ground etc. Just passing it on, I have no commercial interest in the company and they didn't pay me to say this

Yep, we've known about Vacuum Coatings for a while, I bought all of my bounce mirrors from there. Check out the 6mm thick Pilkington glass ones, they might be a bit more sturdy, although a bit heavier. Depends on what sort of mounts you're putting them on really

Well, there you go, I catch up with everyone else eventually.

I shall machine up some simple 3 point mounts and do my usual trick of mounting them on 3 small sticky pads. I have found this to work very well in the past, and ensures a stress-free mount on the mirror.

I shall probably send them my 10" newtonian 'scope mirror and flat for silvering, as their prices are very reasonable.
