Pontiacg5 is driving down from Kansas.
departing from Ottawa (near Topeka, KC)
Rider(s) wanted to share driving and gas.
three possible routes include passing thru or near the following cities'
in Kansas-Topeka. KC or Wichata
in Okla--OKcity, Tulsa
or in Texas- FW, Dallas, Waco, and Austin.

I may have room for one leaving from Houston/LakeJackson area but we are leaving VERY early Thur. and not returning any earlier than Monday nite. 4 hrs drive time-- room for lots of gear(Pick-up thruck w/ 16'camper in tow.

Other vehicles will be leaving the Houston Area- Post here if you need a ride.
Some will be coming from San Marcos, DFW and others Tx cities.
I have airbeds- foam mattresses and a cot enough to sleep 9 people. I should be able to round up enough pillows and bedding(sleeping bags etc)and towels. These go to those fly-ins and others who have asked already. Derrick,Brad,Jonathon, masterpj,300Evil and Buffo all have beds if needed. I ATM have three more available --PM me if you need a bed.

SUPERBOWL(Sun.) 5pm either in my camper or at a local sportsbar.

mainly so it would get noticed and perhaps sway someone 'on the fence' about attending. While we have the some of the coolest(IMHO)
signed up I was hoping for more. There are, between the various laser forums, at least 75 laserest enthuasists within Texas(an educated guess, I think much more)Not too late to reach out and invite more.

AFAIK we ran out of time to get enough to sign=up for the preferred monogramed shirt but we all will still get a nice white TEXLEM logo printed shirt.

Pay at the door is fine but we really need to know asap so the food, dorm rooms, etc etc can be arranged.

please dont post in my Teaser thread we want to keep at this point everything in this thread- if anyone wants to donate doorprizes you can just surprize us or post your offer in this thread. I will be adding a 1/3rpm Lumia kit(just add laser. plug n play). and maybe a few other goodies.

The venue is awesome for our group. Add the ability to stay on site and use the big kitchen and very nice courtyard and this is a no-brainer. URBAN 15 gets some of thier funding via a memership and We(Tim,Greg &I) REALLY want everybody to join no later than when you return home and have a little $$ to send.

I spoke with George at Urban 15 this evening. He has to know who is attending TEXLEM and who is staying at the facility ASAP. He also mentioned that there is a potential conflict with a film crew coming into the facility on Monday for a project, so there is a real likelihood that we will need to vacate the facility by Sunday evening February 5th, 2012 (maybe Monday morning). The reason for the head-count has to do with prep work for the number of rooms that will be used - they cannot do all of the rooms "in case" more people show up unexpectedly.

NOTE: Be prepared to change your sleeping accommodations if you are staying in San Antonio past Sunday!

Also, plans for the shirts have changed - we didn't get enough folks to register to allow for embroidered t-shirts, so we're onto "Plan B". I'm now re-working the artwork for a direct-print, white shirt w/black & red logo, that will allow for the smaller group we now expect.

Urban 15 needs to know what to expect. We need to reciprocate in kind by helping with a donation (via your registration), as well as whatever you can assist with if you are staying at the venue.

Sadly I will have to cancel my visit to Texlem, because of the following reasons:

1. Tickets to for instance orlando would cost me 400 euro's which is ok with me, so I didn't assume texas to be much more expensive, but it turned out to be >800 euro's despite from me trying to book early.
I waited it out a bit hoping that there would be a cheaper flight popping up, sadly not.

2. It seems like my theory exam of my driving lessons is close to expire date, so I need to take my driving exams, I have no control over this date and sadly it's not possible in combination with texlem

3. New batch of laser projectors are coming in at the start of next month.

But I will be in touch over skype if you guys need me (masterpj55)
So feel free to call me up during texlem, I encourage you to do so actually.

secondly I want to still give out my Deae lunae lasershow for Texlem when it's done.
Thats why I need 1QM2000 serial number where I will link it to (PM me), since I want to sell this one

I'm very sorry for this.
There might be people coming over just to see the Deae lunae lasershow thus helping the venue a bit ( I promoted that)

i'll try my best to attend to a future LEM, because I seriously had the most fun ever in my live on SELEM and I do want to experience a fun lasermeet like that again!

About that BEYOND sesion, i can stream my screen on livestream or on skype so basicly i can explain and display the laseroutput at the same time as if i'm there (kinda) so if you guys feel the need for that i'd be happy to offer that

I tried guys, but there's just no way I can make it. I spoke with Greg earlier in the week, and it was looking pretty grim even then. The death knell happened today, when I was informed that I'll be traveling all next week. (Lovely; as if I didn't already have enough going on at work without having to spend most of the week in North Carolina!) Sigh... I had a feeling this was going to happen.

I hope you guys have a fantastic event. From what Greg said, you've certainly got your ducks in a row, so I'm sure it will go smoothly. Have fun, and take lots of pictures! (Any chance of a live feed? Might be able to tune in from work on Saturday...)

Hi guys!

I wish I could make it but things have gotten quite busy at work. I had to work this Saturday and I am most likely going to have to work next Sat as well. I was hoping to maybe make it down and catch a ride with someone but I can't pass up the overtime right now.

Good luck to everyone attending and I hope all goes well. Maybe the next TEXLEM can me in Dallas so I can't miss it.
