Default My work got cut from a show at the last minute. Hope someone has some use for my work

A stupid director would not let me put up a 2 foot piece of caution tape to designate the entrance to the area with the projector (sitting on the floor for a special effect) as off limits. Rather than risk blinding my audience, violating CFR 1040.10, and a $250,000 fine; I packed up my gear. Hope some of you have use for some of these images.

I ate $5k on new years, for a 5 year old laser and lighting client (nightclub) one time over a balcony that was agreed would be off limits of a class-V display setup.

It sucks. But some times you just have to say no.

It's so nice to hear that for some safety still comes first and not the almighty $$$.

    This thread is refreshing.

Sorry to hear that the director was a total douche, but KUDOS for sticking up for audience safety!

Audience safety, ALWAYS comes first and foremost. The one time you make an exception, some ass clown gonna stare down the blue laser and never see green quite the same way ever again, and you WILL get sued over it. I have a puny, feeble, pea brain sized DJ moron over here. Runs his Chicom lasers, no variance, no saftey zones, all DMX blinky lightshow. Sometimes it's hard to be a professional, I wish I had a CDRH angel that would smite those fuckers first hand, but sigh,,, no such thing as angels. My quote for the day:
