Default Finally... a chance to play!

Thank goodness for some much needed down time. I finally set up a number of projectors in my hall and have been experimenting with placements, trying things with Pango, Moncha and LSX and, even uploaded my first Youtube video! I know... so behind the times.

    More to follow.

niiiice!!!!! so what are these 5 rgb PJs ??

i think that the 3 ones at the center fill up the hall very well, so maybe you could have the two sats projecting some graphics onto a scrim? or have them hitting some bounce mirrors?

    Left to right...

    1) CR Tech System 7M approx 750mW - needs scanner TLC

    2) Jim (Smogthemog)'s 2.9W supposedly doing about 2.4 - the green's running below 50% of full power

    3) 3 watt from CT Lasers - works ok - needs dichros & mounts replaced

    4) Laserworld (yep!) 500mW - works fine - needs quieter case fans!

    5) CR Tech System 7S approx 470mW - also needs a little scanner TLC and the fan on the green module replaced

I've been trying different setups to use as a demonstration for a group of potential clients (all my brides) next week and figure out the best way to show it. I think I came up with an arrangement thats all overhead and US friendly and I'll record that today but, last night just HAD to lower the zones and see it and film it the way the rest of the free world gets too. I'll tell you though, having 68' x 104' to play in beats the heck out of a garage or living room.

    Hi Gabe,

Everything is running into a 6 port IDLA buffer where I can also change the x axis and then, the big one in the center is also running through a Universal Geometric Conditioner. I did some stuff in Pango first and then also with Moncha. Problem with Moncha is you don't have the control over "zones" like you do in Pangolin so, it requires shims under the projectors and adjusting the angle of the box sitting on the stand. I'm shooting more video today including an AB comparison of good ol' US overhead beam requirements and then, dropping everything like they have the good fortune of doing in other countries. I DO have two Moncha DAC's so, I haven't played with running separate signals to the projectors yet. But, it's an experiment on the horizon.

Still have to get this Youtube uploading thing down since it's taking forever but, here is "Rising" by Buffo in all it's glory. SUCH a great show!
