    Default Well, I did it!

    Today , my Red 200mw laser left for florida to be married to a 200mw mate!, My projector is looking lonley, but i know it will be happy soon! Thanks Chuck..I know this next show is gonna rock their socks off!!

    Since the show will start with a red beam through smoke, 400mw is gonna be amazing as it shoots out over their collective heads and opens into a sky of swirling smoke streams.... :-)

    Then 300mw or green and 700wm of yellow combine to coreograph a 90sec orgasm of laser light!

    Should i film it for you gang? Get shots of the setup? Projector doing its thing?

    You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

    Carey;

    I think Dave is refering more to beamshows than to graphics... Since you're displaying your graphics on a drive-in movie screen, you're getting *great* reflection, and thus the audience's eyes are probably reaching saturation. That's why it's hard to tell the difference in intensity between the 200 mw red and the 300 mw green you're using. (Or at least, the audience only percieves a small difference in intensity, when the actual difference is many times greater!)

    There's another thread here on the board that discusses color balance, and the consensus there was that for graphics, you really don't need perfect color balance, but if you do beamshows then the different intensities will be easier to spot because the power is spread out over such a large area. Thus, good color balance becomes more important for a beamshow.

    Either way though, I'd really like to see a video of your show. Even if it's just a small video (say, 240x150 resolution), it would be great to watch. (Of course, it would be a lot better if it also had the soundtrack!)

    I was just speaking from what we found running our 550nm 600mw red with 350mw green. As a matter of fact, we have never bothered with formulas..

    To do nice yellows we would have been using 150-200mw of green
