Check everything from the Male DB-25 of you projcetor to the connectors going to your scanner amps. Had a similar problem with my homemade breakout board, turned out that a pin got loose. Try moving the wires while the projector is running to 'isolate' where the problem is. For reds, try a temporary swap of the cables with green so that you can check whether it is a related problem.

There is a problem with the x amp or the signal to it from the breakout board

Trim pots have not been been tweaked.
I'll try and see if I can obtain a multimeter.

Secondly I hooked it up to my kvant with that same dac and cable and no problems.
I was meaning HALF the X-Axis signal... It happened to me, I had the image size turning from full to half or even less. The DB25 connector was really bad and I changed the whole connector, as cleaning was not sufficient.

Did you tried to move the connector in all directions on both your DAC and your projector? Or putting it in/out alot of times?

That's what it's been for me every time I've experienced this "halving" of one axis. If in doubt, do a continuity test along each of the 3 wires to each galvo amp (+, -, GND).

Hey pj what ever you do dont swap the cables that go to the galvos
The amps are tuned to each cable, swapping them is bad thats why they should be marked x and y
Only ever swap the amp inputs never the outputs, as any sllght change in resistance can trigger the galvos into self osilation and kill them.
I found out the hard way one time
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.
