Default Scan thru effects at it's finest

Now that I'm back to using gas lasers, I've really wanted to build up some scan thru effects for this little Excalibur projector. For several weeks I've been thinking about the best way to go about it. I finally figured it out, just buy back something I sold years ago! I had 4 of these AVI scan heads out of a projector I purchased from them. Sadly, I parted it all out about 8 or 9 years ago. I managed to dig up the contact info for the buyers and so far I have one on the way back to me. I'm working on getting at least 2 more, if I can. As you can see the effects are pneumatic, ironically, the compressor that came with the AVI projector I sold on craigslist about 6 months ago, opps! Anyway, thought you guys would enjoy some pics!

What kind of AIR psi do you need. I have some smallish ones. First time i have ever seen any laser projector parts air powered. What do you do for safety....let the air out? Looks like a cool setup not sure Id want to deal with pneumatics.

    I LOVE PICTURE POSTS!

Holly shit, this is like straight out of a laser show history museum....
I think the model before this was coal/steam powered.

I don't remember, it's been so long. I'll have to play around with different pressures. I think the valves take around 24V to actuate. Gosh, it's gonna take some tinkering, didn't take many notes back then.

Well I think about the worst thing that can happen is the effect get stuck in front of the G-120's, but if the show is setup properly with masking, it wouldn't really matter, just look strange.

Jon, I'd like for this thread to not end up in the toxic waste dump, so let's just leave it at that... No need to send me additional optical effect though I do appreciate the offer.
