I thought it would be nice to show you my new collection of lasers. The green is doing 1.4 watt, the blue 2 watt and the red 1 watt of 658nm. Will be replaced by 637 soon when the time comes.
Beamspecs of the red : 8mm on 13 meter , blue 1 cm at 13 meter and the green 8mm on 13 meter
Yes , i replace the diodes when people bought a 658nm module. I install the 637,s on request. That way people can invest in good red over time. That way you can spread out the cost. Rome wasn,t build in 1 day either
But because my quad has circuitboards i can deliver the 658 module with extra circuitboards and hobbyist can replace the 658 diodes just by swapping the circuitboards. The diode board is suitable for using 658nm diodes as for red and blue diodes.
Even a red module can be changed to a 4 watt blue just by some minor changes. Most people here aim for the 635nm diodes but they need quite some optics to make it to a useable beam. 635,s are proven to be usuable but i don,t think Kvant ,rgb and other will go this route because of the better quality of the 637,s Also they buy the 637,s in huge quantaties so the price difference will not be interesting for them to use in their systems.
