    Default I do not understand these scanner kit price difference's

    I do not understand the cost difference's between these 2 Scanner Sets... I am just curious as to why? What am I missing?
    I am a novice as you can tell

    I dont think cambridge sells them with the bigger mirrors, so its extra labor, to custom fit the mirrors?

    We have been quoted by CT in the past for the 6mm mirrors.. Maybe the extra 300 as they arent in high demand?,

    Could also be something to do with the connectors (and therefore cables)

    Also, the 60K ones come with the HP option on the scanner amps = extra hardware

    I guess they have to re-tune for the larger mirrors, so there's more labour involved.

    Larger, thinner, mirrors are more expensive to make, to Cambridge standards.
    That is why. Strictly the cost of achieving stiffness at the incredible accelerations the mirror sees.
    Professional applications can "see" the change in mirror flatness at extreme speeds.

    No magic, no discrimination, no extra labor, strictly physics.
    A small thin mirror might be plain old glass. A larger high speed mirror might be a little more exotic material.
