my FIRST show with audience !! what to do ?

I`m hired to use my laser at a party on saturday :P :P
Oh well.. it`s a "private" party some friends of mine that having it..
So I`m only using my laser there so THEY can enjoy it and I got a perfect chance to calibrate it and test it in a big room for first time

I think they will get so drunk that I can do whatever I want on the night haha..

But how do YOU do a LIVE show with music ??
What frames is best to use LIVE, when do I change the frames, how often should the laser stay ON, do I go over theyr head, do I do audience scanning, where should I place the scanner ???

If you got any tip... plz let me know the next 2 days!!!

Hi Filip,
If you can do audience scanning like we can in the UK then I would certainly do a beam show with a smoke/haze machine. That way the get to see a fantastic tunnel and they can put their hands/arms in the beam, they will think its great.
Also do some graphics on a wall or something. Another idea is if your software lets you do text they will think its magic for you to put their name in lights

Get some pics taken so we can see how it went.

Sadly I dont have many pre-made shows !!
So I must try to work out some LIVE show..

And yeas Grapchic show Will I do as well..
But maybe I need to do some text\grapchic before I starte the fogger..

But I want to suprice them with fog and SUDDENLY the laser

I would strongly advise against audience scanning if you are asking these questions. Do a bit of research and invest in a safety board if you are planning on shining laser in ppls faces.

Also if you can, get a hazer. Hazers are that much better then run of the mill fog machines. 8)

Yes I was not planning to point the laser into the people..
That I will figure out tomorrow.. I think I can adjust down the 3 lasers and maybe do it safe !!
I have read the pangolin Audience scanning safety !
And there is ALOT to learn

But anyway, I will have the laser just above theyr head :P
Hazer I can rent.... but cost more money!
But I did a test with my fog machine.. and it actually was NO problem at all to use it !!

I did quite a few private and public shows at party, and I always have one or multiple predefined shows. I let the show playing for some times, I stop the laser a moment, I change the show, etc...
I improve and test my shows at home (with fog ) before each party, I discover new effects, so my shows becomes greater each time

Now I have some shows that lasts 5-6 minutes, so the people don't see that it's a loop

I never tryed to do live show with Mamba, but this feature can be interesting! You just have to attribuate a frame to a key of the keyboard, and when you press the key, the frame is displayed, with some parameters...

I try to pre-make some show, but I have worked on ONE song the lasert 5 days now.. and I only got 1minute in the beginning of the song :roll:

But I have 5-6 beam show that is OK....
So I will use them ... but a 3-4 hour party, 4 shows is NOT much

So i need more..

I found this site that sells Mamba shows, but the price is FROM 90EUR to 400EUR

Yes shows are very expensive, but program shows takes a LOT of time and testing to do good shows, it's an art!

The last party where I went (1200 persons in an old factory) and I did a show, I had only my shows turning in loop, and the party lasted -> 8h am... And my shows was enough. Remember that peoples don't look all the night on the laser and there is a lot of other lights, so you can do repetitive show and nobody will remark it

Now, if you do a laser show for which peoples are coming only for that, sure that you have to program a show different from start to end, but it's another story
