if a power supply does have sense + / - and i leave this not connected, keeping my wires short (less than 50cm) is it ok or should i connect it anyway?

i had no idea what this did, just thought that it was some read-out feed and not a feedback loop

Sense should always be connected, either at the power supply or at the load end with small wires to feedback the sense signal.

If your wire diameter is small, or your galvos are ultra fast, use the sense option if it is there.

Did you get them working? Only a month till I am in Belgrade. Heck I may make a special trip to get you up and running. Shoot me a pm and I could Skype you through it if you have camera.
