Ok, I changed my mind .. I'll wait. Patience is a virtue

Looks like we are about up to 20, 30 more to go.

I am in for one of whatever makes a single diode setup work. My guess is, 1 optics set, 1 of daves lens, and 2 mounts? How would I go about setting this up and is there anything else I need?
-
okay so im alive and posted some stuff in the holy grail thread. going to do a count of people.
I have been a bit busy,so i got RL things starting to get in my way.

I believe that I speak for all of us "Red-Grailler's" when I say "Thanks Kiyoukan!!!!!!!"

Ah, I changed my mind, I'm in for... 1 optic set, 2 lens, and 2 mounts...
I can apoxy my dicros to the mounts correct? Assuming the dicros are big enough?
Are these mounts the ones you "bend" into place?

Can somebody explain to me exactly how this is supposed to be set up?
Does the lens have to be aligned in a specific direction? What kind of mount is it in?
How far should the first glass lens be from the lens? How far should the second glass lens be from the first?
Can I put mirror in between without messing something up?
Will the height of the diode change by the lens not being perfectly true to the baseplate?
How does the glass lens attach to the mounts?
Sorry, I'm a noob.

If you read threw the holy grail you might understand i will try to come up with a high detail 3d model of my design.
And as far as setup for a dual is not to hard one diode at 30mm one at 28mm high, at 90deg to each other knife stacked vertically with a mirror. then they are sent into the correction optics.
The correction optics can be as close or as far away as you want them. the closer they get to the diode lenses the smaller the beam will be but the larger the divergence.
So for a 4mm beam its roughly 30mm away from the diode lens. and then a bit over 62mm between the correction optics.
However that distance will be shorter with the new concave lens.
The only lens that will effect the height of the beam is the diode lens as it may cause the beam to move a bit.
hope i answered your questions.

You answered some of them. Thank you. I understand it can be hard to explain. Can anyone else chime in and attempt to give me some help?
On a separate note. Do you still have those 20k glavos for sale?

Bhwollen, There is a lot of good info and diagrams in the link below.
(Yes, it's a lot of reading, but it should answer most of your questions) :
