Default Any interest in a small tec driver?

    Hey guys!

Would there be any interest in a small pwm tec driver? I have done a nice mod to the die4chill to turn it from a on off thermostat style to a pi driver.

Thinking about doing up a board, any interest?

please excuse whats pi driver ? how is it better ? curious.
i would not mind one that can heat as well as cool.

Pi is for proportional integral. Meaning the pulse width of the driver is varied to control cooling. If the driver only needs to co a littlebit, it will only drive the tec a small amount..

These would just be cool, not heat and cool, price I would guess at about $65aud

excuse my ignorance but I thought the die4chill was proportional PWM. Doesn't it have an inductor on it?

It would have to be heat and cool for me to bite also. I can buy an oven industries unit here in the US for about the same price. i really think there is a big need for a small, DIY priced heat/cool unit. If anyone could get it done it would be you Dave!

well the cheapest way to drive a TEC from what i know is a 555 with a thermistor and a transistor and a mosfet.
Or you know buy one of these

    OR

    Just build this

Im sure if someone got the pcb made and parts together it would sell nicely.

This will help speed up the process if you dont have to design from scratch.

Die4chill is bang bang, on off.. The inductor is part of the constant current driver
