    Default What manufacturers make USA varianced projectors?

    A question came to mind last night regarding just how many sources does one have for projectors/manufacturers that are actually varianced for use the US? We stress to newbies in the US to not buy chinese but, where exactly can they be steered? What options are there for someone that actually has money? People are always talking about the fact that PL is just one very small slice of the laser world and that there are all kinds of professional show companies that wouldn't dream of being on a forum like this. Like it's beneath them since the majority here are hobbiests and electronic tinkerers. So, what IS the rest of that world doing for projectors?

    From what I understand the choices are pretty limited. X-Laser has their line of products. LSDI has the Excaliber and Scimitar for gas lasers and, the MicroScan and MicroColor I and II that are solid state (**side rant - although $30,000 for a 1.6 watt RGB !?!? Dude.....uhm, seriously? Is it really $25 or 26,000 "better" than any other 1.6? That's two digits followed by 3 zeros folks.)
    RGB Lasersystem International's Compact series is also sold through LSDI. I *think* LumaLaser still exisits and may sell a beam table that's got a variance. There is a rumor that someone is working on Kvant getting approved soon. CT Lasers make claims about being able to get a variance but, is a custom builder. People talk about Arctos and being able to buy them from a dealer here and I suppose their line has a variance numbers as well.

    There is older used stuff that you can come across that may have a variance but really.... what else is out there?

    Brad,

    I think you've covered most of what is out there as far as turn-key/production projectors. Contact LSDI for product and pricing info, as that info from the site is dated.

    CT. Lasers has "OFFICIALLY" gotten approval (by phone convo. Still waiting for paperwork to come in. So maybe not 100% yet. Lets call it 99.85%! ) approval of the CT. Lasers models: LuminanceRGB and Luminance532 projectors.

    LuminanceRGB= 1W-50 Watts or higher.
    Luminance532= 1W-50 Watts or greater also.
    Combinations there-of. ( I planned ahead )

    these are VARIANCED and approved. Not just an accession number. Paperwork should land this week.
