DPSS lasers dead by not using them????

After not using them for about 3 years, i tried my lasers again today.

In my RGB laser i have 2 x 250mw 473nm CNI DPSS. They are all suddenly totally dead, although i measure some current, so they should work.
Also one of the sats (1000mw 532nm CNI DPSS) has suddenly only like 25% of it's power. the other sat is ok, but that one i used last summer.

What is goin on?? Can those laser age/go dead by not using them??

I had two 473nm lasers do this because the seals were bad and air contaminated the crystal. Both had only a few hours of use and mostly just sat on the shelf. The 2nd was a warranty replacement for the first. Unfortunately the warranty ran out before I noticed the 2nd died.

CNI are pretty good repairing their lasers for a reasonable charge when they are out of warranty..
