Default Best options for lots of red in 2012?

I have been too busy to keep up to date with the latest red developments.

I blew another 660nm LOC at last nights show and I am tired of them popping every 3rd/4th show I do... I am pushing them a little too hard but I need to otherwise the red just doesn't cut it.

I need enough red to balance 344mW of 532nm and 500mW of 445nm.

What is my best option in 2012, and who can offer what pre-made? I need the beam profile to match my green, which is as below. I also need the beam height to match the green (24.8mm or less).

    Cheers!

(I know the test sheet says 407mW, but after 100 hours use I measure 344mW not 407mW).

well... to me, you have to go the sub 640nm way

    three options

    1. make a dual with opnext 63133 and optima lenses. super beam specs, bright 637nm light, no correction optics. just a knifeedge of the two
    2. contact winni and get a cni MRL-III-640H 300mw
    3. make yourself a single 300mw with the mitsu flashlight. one 2mm lens and mount from dave plus a set of dr lava cyls (although this will not match your green beam profile)

however, if you really want to upgrade the power of your projector, i would say swap out the greenie and go for an cni mgl-h 500 (with the wl203 driver, don't worry, it fits in your case). This will bring you over 600mw of green, so you will have to go with a dual mitsu 300mw from logsquared and crank up the blue. voila, 1,8 watt rgb nice and easy (ok, not too easy...)

Hmmm. Everyone is always trying to hold me upside down and shake the money out of my pockets... Prices for new modules requested from Winni.

Whats this logsquared dual mitsu you speak of?

    this one http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ght=logsquared

plus, big upside of the mgl-h greenie is the 3mm/2mrad beam that can be easily expanded to 5mm and 1.2mrad to be a perfect match to the mitsu p71 multi diode setup and a dual 445 with o-like lenses

Don't thank me, i have just injected this little worm in your head that will eat your brain unless you give it a constructive way out
And you can consider this as punishment. I really wanted to see you in that huge mitsu-flashlight thread and evolution path

I tried following that thread a few times, but my life was way to busy to handle the heavy duty discussion, various designs etc. It was like the 445nm all over again but on steroids!

Har. Well I followed the 445nm thing, easy with anamorphic correction prisms and I got really good results. As for the red, I have tried 4 x LOC's in three different combining methods now (cube, knife edge, waveplate etc) and I am just burnt out trying to get more red!!! I am feeling very lazy and just feel like buying a proven solution.... I have better things to do, like program shows and cues!

if you want a 660 build just let me know i can do pretty much any power you want. and 660 is cheaper than 638 at the moment
