One thing to remember with heat sinks is that they radiate their heat inside the enclosure. Attaching the driver boards to an external part of your enclosure means that half the exposed surface is cooled by the outside air.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Yep - I may end up bolting them to the base of the case, as its one big alu sheet. If I put them near one of the fans, they should stay relatively cool.

    Here we go
My wides arrived today and i mounted them, but im stuck at the signal input.
Im using the old ILDA board that was inside the projector and that had an odd wiring.
The old driver was only connected to the top slot in the photo where it say XY out and i think it had a common ground, i suppose i should use both of them for the dt40?

I could really use some step by step guidance here as im starting to pull my hair.. I think the mid pins is ground but i have no clue of what cable should go where, red black and white, +-ground?

    Anyone?

Make a wiring harness using the old plugs. The pins are as follows looking at that double set of plugs:

    Pin 1: Y-
    Pin 2: Ground
    Pin 3: X-
    Pin 4: Y+
    Pin 5: Ground
    Pin 6: X+

Wire pins 3, 5 and 6 to X-, Ground and X+ on the X amp
Wire pins 1, 2 and 4 to Y-, Ground and Y+ on the Y amp

The manufacturer has just designed that board ass about.

holy wow how much power is in that thing. That looks awesome. Beamshows are the best

when we say stupid wide, with the wides, we mean it :P

if you removed that show card, what was producing the patterns, or had you mis wired initially when you got the diagonal line?

I bet you went to bed MUCH later than your normal time :P

Its my first china projector, now on steroids, first it was a 1.2 W TTL with 12k scanners, now its 1,2 W analog with dt40 wides
I blame the diagonal line on the stupid breakout board, but all fixed now, i waited until my gf was sleeping and then i fired up the fogger and took some beam shots :P

I think i will put wide scanners in my other projectors as well when i have the economy for it
