    Jeez Dreambeamz

If that is what a 1W laser does so quickly I dont think I want one :O

It's VERY VERY VERY impresive, but I think I would end up in prison within a few days

    I am propery jealous really.

Uh yes I dont know how to record a video.. have no cam
But I will try some other day..

Yes I light a match just as easy as that

But remember that is no way of comparing a laser, as the Beam thickness is everything....
If it`s a thin beam 100mW, it can fire a mach faster than a FAT beam with 1Watt

But... someone have a laser meeter ? I want to check my output.. but i sure think it`s 1 Watt ! becouse that was what I did order

    @ JimBo:
Much higher is out there and easy to obtain. We have quite a few beast argons. If you think you will end up in jail because of misuse of a 1 watt. Please dont ever get a higher powered argon either.

Find out how much it will cost to ship a laser check wand via Air and get back to me, cover the cost on shipping and I will let you borrow it for a couple days

Oh you have a meeter that can handle 1W+ then ?
I want to measure some Leadlights as well

So that have been perfect if you want to ..
But I guess the shipping from me is like 10-12$ so I think it`s the same for you ?

If you want to send it to me, just do It and I PayPal you the shipping costs

my 1 watt + meter would cost more than that to ship as it is alot more bulky. What I am suggesting is since your laser is analog modulated is to run 4 volts to it. You should get 960mw at 4 volts which would verify that the laser "should" be putting out 1.2 watt at 5 volt

If you do not have a power supply that will put out 4 volt VDC then get two AA batteries so at 3 volts it should be putting out 720mw

That is assuming the analogue input is linear, which it wont be..

Hmmm it sound like a OK idea to do it that way..
but the laser is mounted no, and soldered in the case +++

BUT I Have a lot better idea
As I can turn the Volt up manually in the front of the laser
I just start a 0volt, and start to turn up untill I reach 900mW
IF i get that high !! and there still is some more turns to do .. we KNOW it`s 1W+

But if I adjust it higher and higer untill it`s on MAX, and the meeter show it`s only like 500-800mW at full power then we also know !
That sounds like a easy idea ?
