Sorry , tried to do it in basic laymans terms.

    I'll try better next time..

Or you could go the mechanical route like how i'm going to blank my pointer

    Hey Marconi,

thanks for that post. Are you saying that with a low duty cycle it is normal for green dpss to be short on power?
I'm experiencing this problem, never able to find color balance for all frames, green is always off. Especially annoying during animations when the green duty cycle is cut in half and white becomes pink, yellow orange etc. ...

Hmmm, That almost sounds like a TTL style DPSS.

Yes, a very fast duration pulse is sometimes hard to see.
and I can see taking advantage of this for the Quasi analog.
I still cant imagine it without dots or lines in the packets of bursts.
    Maybe I'm dense. dunno.

I guess what I am saying is, Every unit is different.
Whether it be the driver circuit components that make up the unit,
The difference in crystals,.They way they are tuned, Even how fast the TEC can control the temp.
Quality control, Diode characteristics and so on.
Thats why some units act differently than others.
This is mentioned by Steve Roborts (mixedgas) in his post. see below

So predicting what a DPSS laser will do under different circumstances is tuff.
Especially if it dies and needs changed out..Will it act the same?

    Recovery is the word.

Now if you talking lag between the units., I have seen this too as others have.
Usually its not too drastic as to do something with it..other times it is.

See Steve Roberts (mixedgas) post http://photonlexicon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2470
Bill Benner has a circuit that will delay the fastest of the units ..to match
or overlap the slower blanking one correctly..Analog or TTL
A 2 channel delay board would be perfect for that.
Also mentioned in Steve's post is to bias the input so to change the modulation voltage range of the unit to match others.

Ok, I gotta get back to Fluff's big green unit and finish.
