Guangzhou International Expo on Pro Sound, Light, and Music
Okay, I guess somebody here would like to know expos in China. Fortunately I went to Guangzhou for the 10th Guangzhou International Expo on Pro Sound, Light, and Music last week. The weather in Guangzhou was quite different from Beijing indeed. But I think the air quality is better than Beijing, warmer, wetter, fresher. Only if there was a little more sun shine, that will be perfect.
Enough about the weather, let’s talk about the expo. I checked the exhibitors list, guess what? Most of them were same like last year, although there were some new exhibitors, but, not many. Anyway, the decoration here was brand new compared with last year. This is one exhibitor at the front door:
Yeah, I bet you must say it is like a pub. Yes, it had wines on the shelf.
It is a manufacturer of LED. I was wondering why they put a “curtain” around the pub chairs at first, but when I getting near, I found this “curtain” glowing, there are some led lights at the top of the giant ring.
Yes, I know your people here all like lasers, so let us begin to look lasers.
CR-TEC maybe the most famous laser projector manufactory as you know, I heard they are more considering about quality than other manufactories here, even we know, made in China meaning cheaper, ok, let us take a look of CR-TEC
They were not much different compared with last year, looks like they are mostly producing low to middle power laser projector.
This year I found Laserworld was in the expo also. The exhibition hall had very few of foreign companies, and the sizes of their lasers is also very small compared with other ordinary Chinese lasers companies. Even I am Chinese, I should agree, compare with Chinese laser projector manufactory, Laserworld products make me thought high quanlity and beautiful.
Here is the booth of Laserworld. I think this year these guys doing great of the effects. Now they are open a branch office at China, I guess if they are aiming at Chinese market now.
This picture is the RGB laser projector from Laserworld. Pure Micro Series RGB version, the dimension of the metal housing is about 186X165X125mm. I didn’t know what the power was since I didn’t have handy laser power meter to do test. Also I remember here we had many talk about Laserworld’s projector’s power not as high as they remarked. But from what I saw, to be honest, I should say, their projector’s beam quality is very good and bright through my observation. I thought it should be 3W RGB projector but I not asked their people for confirm my thought, I see their people always busy talk with customers. I don’t know how they can do this, the sizes is 1/3 or even 1/5 of the projector made in China, even compared with other Europe company’s projector, it’s sizes still the smallest, which make me think you can take a few laser projector in your suit cases easily, you don’t need flight case even you want to do a big shows, I really love their projector’s amazing compact dimension. I even want to buy 1 and see what they can do with such a smaller size. Although we can do smaller sizes green lasers, our green’s sizes just like 1W only 78*26*26mm, add TEC and base, only 98*26*40mm, even I know blue 445nm can do smaller sizes too, but for red, it is sizes needed, for 1W, we need a few pcs combine to one, which make the sizes not small, this sizes not only lasers, it is including scanner, PSU etc, that’s make me surprise, after look their booth, I really thought Laserworld is producing high-end quality laser projectors now. Also I heard they had booked 200m2 booth at Frankfurt Prolight+sound , they will take much more projector to there, this time, I also will go Frankfurt during those days, I really expect to see what they will do during the exhibitions.

This one is the RTI Piko Series. The dimension is about 250/250/250mm, like a magic cube.
The max. power of it is about 11 Watt for RGB, and 24 Watt for green. It is very high power model with compact design.
Here is a picture from Laserworld’s RGB projector. Believe me, it looks better when you watch it with your eyes.
There are 5 green high power green lasers. They’re all very small too, its beam also very small. From the center of the hall to one end of the hall, look like beam not increasing much.

As all of you too, I like new products, so I look around the hall and find this year’s new products, I really find different products, below is pictures, yes, shake head laser projector. I find Lanling had small sizes shake head green laser projector:
Another company from China had RGB shake head projectors. I know this company main Operation is laser construction projects, as you can see, they’ve done many projects of entertainments, look like they are not much interesting about sell laser projector only, but I thought if you interesting, they also can sell laser projector only. You may see the booth No. is already on it. Just walk along the beam.
Here is the booth, you may had seen, Laserwave and CNI is nearby.
Not like others laser company’s do, take many lasers to the booth and power on all ,below is a picture other company in China do, lol, they should know the beautiful show not quantity, it is quality. Laserwave brought some small designed OEM lasers, which were quite different than others. Most are the other company couldn’t do it, just like their OEM series lasers, the highest power is up to 8W, take a close look:
You may see that there’re 3 green lasers on one heatsink. And the power is 8 Watt, 5 Watt, and 1 Watt. (From left to right) The dimension is very compact. The dimension of the smallest one is 78X26X26mm, which is very suitable for small designed laser projectors. Also I forgot to say the 1W green projector which used for projecting the logo of Laserwave using this kind of 1W OEM laser. You may see the red laser on the right side, this one 500mW unit, It’s worth to mention the beam profile, yes, it is only a round spot, you can see it in a far way, it is always one round beam spot.
Like all of you too, I also want to see what CNI’s new products, but be honest, I am very disappointed as they don’t take any new products to the booth, I heard they had begin do industrial lasers, so I guess they had cost more time on the industrial using lasers and don’t had enough time to improvement their show using lasers. As you know, compare with industrial using lasers, show using laser is small cake.
Another thing I should mention is Viasho, look like they fully changed to Projector company, they even not take any lasers to the booth, they only take the projector with them, here is a picture of them:
