Overtly-Pumpkin Semiconductor-Lasers? ..I predict a massive increase in 'Halloween laser shows'...

..Think this color would look mighty yummy next-to either 445 or 514... prolly not-bad with 639, either...

..Very-well, we've told Cohr to take you off the 'free-samples list', then...

Here's some more 'Optically Porned Stupidawesome Laser'-shots, posted to the ILDA-list, from some legendary German Sho Co. who's name I'm not going to mention, because I'm already sick-enough with envy, and I'd rather not gut-meself further, by being their 'ad-agency'.. njoy..

Ok, so, here's yet another pro-OPSL 'rant'.. Scott (...Laserium Creative Director..) just posted a few new vids-up, and - besides sporting some knarly animation, I think this vid, in particular, makes a 'point' about OPSLs being the nearest 'true-hope' for solid-states actually-being able to eventually-replace the ion, pretty-much completely...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7OiI1qEAh4

..Yes, this was done with a Purelight ion / 2x PCAOMs / 5-scan channels - But the point is - can you *imagine* what this would look like with RGB-only?? Baarrf, I tell-you.. and, what dpss-green linearity would 'do' to these unbelievably-amazing color-mods???

..I *so* cannot-wait to be able to have an RYGGCBB 'engine' to try-out this show-content, with!!! ..any 'well to-do' giant / philanthropic Show-co out there, wish to make a 'small donation' of a couple units or five? Oi, what a pipe-dream...

    *sigh*

    How about a RROGGCBBBV; 660-638-590-532-515-488-473-457-445-405 ;)

Or if you won the lottery, you could buy a rainbow..

Saw it last night on the list....

Looks like 10 OPSL wavelengths are either available or "tentative" from Coherent.

    Jon,

Aside from cost, we're not there yet?

That yellow is gorgeous. So pure, which is what I personally like about OPSL so much. There's just a purity to the light that you don't seem to get with other lasers.

People look at me really funny when I tell them that I'd SPEND IT ALL ON LASERS if I had a million dollars...

I'd buy a Lamborghini, pay off the house, and the credit cards , and spend the rest on lasers (if the wifey says it's ok).. :]
