i think the first versions of Merlin came out in 81-82(ill have to check dates) and it ran on an apple iie
then 90's was the dos version with isa card then after about 2004 or so was the pci version then a little later it ran on 32bit dos

i still have all versions even the iie (but no iie hardware) and all dos based hardware (pci/isa)

I don't know the date but, there is also Moncha 2.1

It's to Fiesta like Quickshow is to LD2000. Kind of a baby brother.

SCANPlus Evolution from es Lasersystems (now MediaLas) around 1991-92. This was running over a Star III 19" rackmount scanamp (also from es Lasersystems) with open loop GSI scanners and an ALC60x with a chinese 40mW HeNe.

    LaScan Amiga version around 1990

    ACLS Scanware 1996

Moncha appeared in 2007 I think. I was the first one to buy it, actually!

You can add PCLite to the list! Don't know when it was first released but I bought one back in 1994. I know he came out with an ISA card as well, probably somewhere around 1997ish and called the new software Alpha Lite.

    Hi Andy

As i mentioned in my first post ... Dont forget about Rick Gebhardt and LASER ILLUSIONS ISA card and software (1996 )

I think that this is the one that DZ is refering to above ... ( i think this is your foto DZ )

It was used by many on here including myself ... it came with the GWS software ( grafix work station )

he later introduced a DAC that used a printer port interface called the alphalite system ( 2003 )

I had both ..... Steve ( mixedgas ) Stanwax, Buffo, and many others here on PL all had these as well .... i bought my ISA card in the late 90s
and my alpha lite system in 2003 for $595

    all the best ... Karl

Poking through the garage, there are all the Chameleon Technology controllers:-

PM19-PM25 (I think it stopped there)

There is a dead old Tarm control system back there somewhere I should dig out and get a name of!

Then there was the Laser Visuals stuff Beam Sculptor, Beam Sculptor GM (for the Lasertech kits)

I've got Laser Innovations Mirage and Voyager, they might have made others.

Who made the Magnum controller? They were great!

Oh and I've a Medialas Lightpainter and SMS2laser system as well.

I'm not sure about dates on this stuff. The Chamtech and Laser Visuals stuff goes back 15-20 years or so, And the Laser Innovations stuff seems to be late 90s.

Don't forget NLS (Norm's laser show) by Normand Defayette. Not a big contender but pretty decent for the price.
