Interesting... seen this done up-close, with excimers and other-types before, popping offset-press ink... intriguing...

Clicked on a link of a link off that article, and... http://www.txchnologist.com/2011/the...r-nuclear-cars ..yet another crazy brilliant-idea with lasers.. but... Wow! that's one badass-lookin Caddy!

    cheers..

Be great fun in an office where the printer is some distance from everyone - they send something to the printer and you unprint it before they get there!

My only concern with this device is what effect aerialised toner will have on people's lungs as isn't it supposed to be harmful? With that in mind atomising it with a laser doesn't sound like a good idea.

Interesting article but I see 2 problems:

    1. Car crashes spreading radiation

    2. Terrorists using it in a dirty bomb

Yeah, wasn't 'pushing the tech'.. if-anything, an engine that could 'electrolysize' hydrogen from waste or seawater, and exhaust oxygen... and steam into the enviro, would be 'smarter'... I just liked the car-design... ...though, I think it would have made a better 'Jag'.. looks like a big powerful cat, eh?..

    cheers...

    Yeah its a rad design.

Very I Robot. They should use that in any sequel instead of the Audi.

Art Schawlow had a laser eraser working as early as 1967, with a pulsed ruby laser. He's seen in films of the time demonstrating it. They stuck with tattoo removal as the real practical application of it.
