    Default Storing of Laser Projector

    Hello from Dubai
Can any one suggest whether it is safe enough to store laser projector in a closed yard, the temperature can touch 45 to 50 degrees with heavy humidity.

Old rule of thumb - don't store your stuff where you wouldn't sleep.

Heat and Humidity is a real issue out here so all our projectors are stored inside. we use pelican cases which are airtight with silica gel packs to absorb any moisture that gets trapped inside the case.

Ship it to me and I will store it. And return it when needed as long a two week lead time is given.

    Hi kamakajee
If you're contemplating storing your projector for extended periods, it might be an idea to coat all your optics with First Contact.
As well as protecting everything from dust and contaminants whilst in storage, it's one of the best cleaners available. Just apply and wait to dry, then when you're ready to use your projector again remove the film with a small piece of tape and you have clean mirrors/dichros
Rob (Stanwax) here in the U.K sells 1oz bottles, which although small will last a really long time (i've had mine for at least 2 years)

    Har nice saying.

I heard a good one the other day, it related to hazardous areas on an industrial site.

    This space for rent.
